JOHN G. SUTTON
The area of Tyne and Wear is situated in the North East of England, there in late November of 2007, Mrs. Sabrina Fallon and her family were subjected to a truly terrifying ordeal when their house was haunted by a poltergeist. It started one night at about 11pm Sabrina was disturbed to hear footsteps in the loft of her council house as there should have been no one up there. These were distinct, loud and clear steps as if someone were walking across the attic. The footsteps stopped and, thinking she had maybe imagined them, Sabrina went to back to sleep. At around 5.15am she woke again to the sound of bangs, bumps and more footsteps all coming from the loft. Now this really scared her, so Sabrina dialed 999 and contacted the police. She was certain someone was up there in her attic. This worried her a great deal as perhaps it was a burglar and she had two young children in the house. When the police arrived they listened to what Mrs. Fallon had to say and went to investigate. As they approached the loft the sound of footsteps could clearly be heard so, with some trepidation, the youngest PC pushed open the trap-door, climbed up and shone his torch inside. The loft space was empty, save for cobwebs, a few old toys and couple of cardboard boxes. When Sabrina asked the police officers what they thought was causing the sounds they said ‘we think you have ghosts’.
Sabrina actually thought the police were joking and that the noises were some form of natural phenomena, maybe wind getting in or something. She certainly did not believe in ghosts. Over the next few weeks the sounds in the loft continued but Sabrina, her husband Martin and the children did their best to ignore them hoping they would just stop. They didn’t. Then on the night of the 15th December Sabrina was away staying with friends and left her house keys with her sister Jane and her husband Jason. They called in to check that the house was OK, as they opened the door a voice from an unseen source whispered something unintelligible to them and as the lights came on noises could be heard upstairs. Believing that there was someone in the house Jason shouted ‘Who’s there!’ as he did so some invisible something was thrown down the stairs and hit the wall beside him with a loud thump. Having heard the story of the police saying the house was haunted he was now terrified, turned round and with Sabrina’s sister ran out of the house and locked the door behind them.
The next day Mr. And Mrs. Fallon arrived home with their two children, Aimie age 15 months and Shannon age 9 years. It was the same house but inside it had changed. The atmosphere was tense, almost electric and the temperature was freezing. Sabrina put all the heating on but still the house was cold and a deep sense of unease hung like an anxious mist throughout the upstairs rooms. That night Sabrina recalls she hardly slept, but it was the next day that things began to become really weird.
Sabrina recalls the start of the tangible terror ‘our baby Amie was in her cot asleep, I heard my bedroom door slam shut so I went upstairs to see why. The whole area next to little Aimie’s room was icy cold. Suddenly I heard the horrible footsteps again only this time they seemed angry, thump! thump! thumping across the loft space and then a series of incredibly loud bangs and knocking echoed around the house as if a dozen children were hitting the walls with sticks. I went into Aime’s room picked her up and ran downstairs. I was terrified that whatever it was would injure my baby girl’.
By now Sabrina had accepted the idea that there may well be some kind of unearthly presence in her home and not knowing really what to do about it she decided to look in her local Yellow-Pages directory for help. There she found the name of Suzanne Hadwin listed under Clairvoyants and Psychics, she decided to try calling her and asking for advice. When Suzanne answered the ‘phone she told Sabrina that she could sense the presence of two spirit children and a very evil man who was, she said, now a poltergeist or noisy spirit with wicked intentions. Suzanne identified the poltergeist as a man called Peter and said that death had occurred in the house and that this evil spirit was now trying to create fear and terror for the whole family but most of all it wanted to harm little Aimie. Suzanne agreed to attend the Fallon’s home on the 19th December to conduct what she termed a ‘spiritual cleansing’ that would remove the wicked poltergeist and send it into the light. In the meantime Suzanne explained that she would ask her own spirit guide Romanoff to go and protect the Fallon family from any further attacks by the unquiet spirit she called Peter.
The next day Sabrina, who still half suspected that this was all too weird to be true, decided to go and ask the local authority housing department if they knew of any reason why her council owned property should be haunted. What she was told caused Sabrina Fallon’s blood to run cold. According to the housing officer there had, in the past, been a murder committed in the house she now lived in. A man named Peter had strangled his young wife and then stabbed her to death with an iron poker. By now near to panic Sabrina asked the housing officer if the council would be prepared to meet the fee to be charged by the Psychic-Medium Suzanne Hadwin. It was that or Sabrina and her entire family were moving out. The council housing officer agreed to meet half the cost of the spiritual cleansing and rid the house of the poltergeist.
That night Sabrina telephoned the psychic-medium Suzanne to tell her what she had been told by the local council and advise that her fee would be paid in full but half would come from the housing department. As she started to explain about the murder a rough raspy voice shouted through the telephone ‘Go Away!’ and the line went dead. In the lounge of her home Sabrina had left her two children watching a TV programme, when she went in she saw to her absolute horror that the picture on the screen was a series of wavy fuzzy lines and her baby daughter Aimie was staring at it as if in a trance. Then the room went freezing cold and from upstairs the sound of banging and clattering came loud and louder followed by the frighteningly familiar thump! thump! thumping of angry stamping footsteps. Switching off the TV and grabbing her child Sabrina shouted at the unseen entity in terror ‘Leave my family alone!’. Her husband Martin stood still, shocked out of his disbelief by the obvious evidence he had just seen with his own eyes.
In desperation Sabrina then tried to contact Suzane again and dialed her number, all she could hear when she placed the handset to her ear was a fiendishly horrible cackling laughter that sent shivers running down her spine. That night, following Suzanne’s earlier instructions, the whole family slept in the main lounge. Upstairs the poltergeist was pounding and banging on the walls. Before sleep Sabrina had to go to the bathroom, taking baby Aimie in her arms. With husband Martin standing guard close by she dared to climb the stairs and enter the bathroom. Then as she tried to leave, holding little Aimie tightly, an immense invisible force pushed her in the back then hot stinging hands grabbed at her neck causing red welts and scratches to appear. The poltergeist had now started a new more physical reign of terror. With a scream of fear Sabrina ran with Aimie into the lounge and stood petrified as Martin secured the door. What followed was the most difficult, sleepless night of her life. Thuds and bangs, hammering sounds and discordant yells reverberated around the house till dawn finally broke.
That day Suzanne Hadwin and her assistant arrived to start the spiritual cleansing of the Fallon’s home. As soon as Suzanne entered the house she was drawn to the upstairs rooms. This is how she described the sensation. “The house atmosphere was intensely cold and a sense of despair and depression hit me hard, almost like a blow in the solar plexus so strong was the negative energy. Prior to entering the property I had conducted a self-protection ritual and was secure, safe in the protection of my own spirit guide Romanoff. As I walked forward into the hallway I knew at once that the entity, the poltergeist, was in the upper part of the house and lurked there with evil intentions. The coldness was spreading through the house from that area and so I simply followed the invisible trail leading directly to the bedroom usually occupied by 9 year old Shannon. In there the discarnate being was hiding ready to cause harm with its wickedness.
For a moment I felt nausea, a vile stench of rotting flesh filled the room and sickness swept through me, then I heard my spirit guide speak ‘Continue for I am here and you are safe’. The entity now knew that it was confronted. Without fear I spoke clearly and with forcefulness ordering the discarnate being to remain trapped in that room and not leave until I could return. I had to be ready to do battle with the poltergeist as I now knew exactly what I was facing. This was a lost soul locked into the limbo-land that exists between our material world that we call Earth and the next. This had been and indeed still was a vile and Godless spirit with murderous intentions doomed to haunt the misty purgatorial realms where its actions had condemned it to stay. In anger it now sought to inflict injury upon the innocent, just as in life it had done. Now I would banish it into the light of infinity and beyond. But I had to be fully prepared as this was a demonic spirit that would, if it could, seriously injure me.’ Before she left the Fallon’s house Suzanne saw all members of the family one at a time and placed protection around them to ensure that the poltergeist could not gain control of their bodies. Then she advised that she must now enter into her lengthy preparations readying herself to confront the evil spirit and cleanse the property.
Over the next few days the Fallon household did experience various attacks from the poltergeist spirit but all the noise was confined to the bedroom that had belonged to Shannon. Christmas came and went and the door to that room remained locked. From within came the occasional sound of stamping feet and loud thumping sounds as though the bedroom walls were being struck with great force by baseball bats. But the poltergeist remained trapped within.
On the afternoon of the 27th Decmeber 2007 the psychic-medium Suzane Hadwin returned to the house of the Fallon family ready to confront the poltergeist. This is how she describes what happened: ‘I decided that the first thing had to be a direct confrontation with the poltergeist in the room where I had ordered it to remain. So with Martin Fallon and Sabrina alongside me I unlocked and opened the door. The atmosphere was unpleasant and an almost tangible sense of depression hung in the cold still air. Then I sensed a sudden movement, a rush of wind passed by me and I new the battle was on. The poltergeist was loose and I was about to cleanse this house and expel it forever. But there was going to be a fight I knew that’.
As Suzanne started to cleanse the bedroom Sabrina’s daughter Shannon suddenly appeared at the top of the stairs staring hard at her with a look of absolute hatred in her eyes. ‘Get out of here you bitch’. She said. But Suzanne knew that this was not the 9 year old girl speaking this was the voice of the poltergeist that had entered her aura. “Get Shannon downstairs now!” Suzanne said “I need to get the spirit off her”. Mrs. Fallon did as requested and in the lounge sat young Shannon down as Suzanne instructed on a chair in the center of the room. Around this chair Suzanne sprinkled a circle of salt and then she began to remove the spirit of the poltergeist from the aura of young Shannon. Here is how Sabrina, Shannon’s mother, described what happened next:
‘I watched as anxious as any mother would, afraid that Shannon might be hurt but Suzanne assured me this was perfectly safe. Then she lit some incense and a candle which she placed inside the circle with her and Shannon who was looking a little scared. When Suzanne started she placed her hands, fingers stretched wide, at the back of Shannon’s body and seemed to be pushing at a physical being. I saw her face contort and she began to order the poltergeist to leave my daughter alone then, to my absolute horror, young Shannon turned her head and shouted ‘Leave me alone you cow!’. But it wasn’t her voice. Then Suzanne gave what looked like a mighty push and I heard a voice inside my head shouting at me, just a stream of obscenities. I shouted to Suzanne and she indicated I should sit still. Then suddenly a great rush of wind burst from nowhere, the walls resonated with loud bangs and the sound of running feet echoed from the staircase. Upstairs I could hear again the awful thud, thud thudding of the poltergeist banging and clattering. Suzanne seemed perfectly calm and laid little Shannon on the settee telling me that all was OK now the poltergeist had left her. Indeed the room itself now felt so much warmer.’
Two local authority housing officers had by this time arrived as they wanted to witness Suzanne Hadwin expelling the entity from the council house. They, along with Martin Fallon who was now filming the spiritual cleansing, followed Suzanne up the stairs where she started in Shannon’s bedroom.
To conduct the ritual of spiritual cleansing Suzanne set out a circle of salt and asked all those present to step inside. She herself sat on a chair and called upon her spirit guides, specifically naming Romanoff, to come and help rid these premises of the evil spirit of the poltergeist. As she spoke Sabrina felt something touch her. Here is what she said about that experience:
‘I was inside the circle watching Suzanne intently when I felt some force pressing me, pushing me as if I were being crushed and a voice in my head shouted ‘I’m Peter! Get that bitch out of here’. I was stunned, my head was spinning and I felt myself falling, down I slipped, hit the floor almost becoming unconscious. Then I looked up and Suzanne was helping me, she lifted me up and said that the poltergeist had gone out of the room now and I would be safe.’
Suzanne Hadwin went from room to room in the house and at each room she called upon her guides to take the evil poltergeist out and away to the place appointed in the light of love and understanding. When she had completed the ritual the hose was clear. This is what Sabrina had to say:
“After Suzane and the council officers had left I just sat down and cried. The whole thing had been too much for me and I was I suppose in a sort of shocked state. But the house felt warm again, like a home and I actually slept peacefully that night for the first time in ages. I can honestly say that Suzanne Hadwin got rid of whatever it was that was haunting our house and for that I will be eternally grateful’.
I asked Suzanne Hadwin what she thought of this poltergeist haunting and she told me this: ‘The entity was the evil spirit of Peter, the man who had murdered his wife there many years before. In death he had failed to make his transition out of fear of damnation for his murderous deeds and so had become trapped in the nether world, the twilight zone that exists betwixt Earth and the next dimension of life that we know as heaven or hell. I feel that the physical youth and vibrant energy of the young girl Shannon had been used by the spirit of Peter to empower his malevolence and that he targeted the family as he saw them as intruders into his space. What I did was to call upon my highly evolved spirit guide Romanoff and his helpers asking them to remove the wicked entity and direct the spirit of Peter to his designated destination. This they did and now I am quite certain that the Fallon family can live in peace, the poltergeist has left the building, gone to its appointed place in the world beyond.’
