HEALING POWERS HELP INVALID
In the year 2002 Mrs. Joan Bicknall of Fraserburgh in Scotland was injured in a minor car accident. The injuries that she sustained, though not life threatening, were sufficient to cause her body to rekindle her previous diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis which quickly disabled Joan turning her from being an outgoing individual who enjoyed walks in the country, to a wheelchair bound invalid. By the year 2007 she had also suffered a stroke, was diagnosed with diabetes and her auto-imune system was closing down. The pain generated by Joan’s illness was, by the start of 2007, so severe that she could not even sit quietly for more than a short time. At the age of just 59 years Joan was a virtual prisoner of her own incapacitated body and life seemed hardly worth living.
All her adult life Joan Bicknall had been a Spiritualist and when she became ill she naturally turned to the Church healers for help. The problem was that her home was over an hours drive away from her nearest Spiritualist Church at Aberdeen. But she did manage to get her husband to take her there and the healing she received was having an ameliorating effect on the extreme pain she was now suffering.
In the month of August 2007 the Lancashire healer and Spiritualist Mr. Bill Parker was on holiday in Scotland visiting his daughter-in-law and son. She knew of the problems that Joan Bicknall was experiencing and suggested to her father-in-law that he might be able to help by using his widely recognized healing powers. Bill, who is 78 years of age, immediately agreed and that afternoon he was driven over to Joan’s home where he was invited to offer her help using his gift of healing powers. This is how Joan Bicknall described what happened next:
“I was already in some considerable pain when Bill Parker arrived, having had yet another night of near sleepless agony. To be honest I did not really think that anything he could do would be of much help but I agreed to let him try. So as I sat still in my armchair Bill placed his hands at either side of my head not quite touching and he told me he would now begin to give me healing. As I recall the time was around 2pm and I can normally sit in one position for no more than ten minutes. But as Bill moved his hands around me, all the while generating a sense of absolute calm and peacefulness, time seemed to stand still. Then as he extended his hand around my back, just inches away from my body, I felt an intense heat surge through me. Then he stopped and suddenly, as though waking from a dream, I was wide awake and looked at the clock on the nearby wall to see that over an hour had passed, yet it seemed like only minutes”.
Before Bill Parker had been to heal Joan she had been unable to walk more than a few feet and had been using a wheelchair. Indeed so restricted was her mobility that her General Practitioner MD had requested that she be provided with an electronically operated wheelchair to give her some freedom of movement. That was before she saw Bill.
It was a little over a week after Bill’s visit that Joan was looking out of her lounge window watching her husband Robin doing some tidy up work in the back garden. As she stood looking at him she noticed that her flowers that she had been so proud of in years gone by needed to be dead-headed. This is how Joan described what happened next: “I was so engrossed in looking at my plants that I forgot I was an invalid and couldn’t walk. I just got this idea to go and prune the flowers and the next thing I was outside with a plastic bag and a pair of scissors snipping off the dead-heads of my beloved fuchsias. As I did this I was startled to hear the voice of my husband. “How did you get here?” he asked me and for a moment I didn’t really know and said simply that I must have walked there. And I had done that, I had experienced no pain and alone, without aid I had come out of the house, down the garden path and walked to the fuchsia plants. It was like a miracle and for a while I stood astounded at my amazing adventure.”
Since that time Joan Bicknall has experienced a continuing but gradual improvement in her health. Though she will never be cured, she has been told by the medical experts that the best she can expect is a period of remission, she is now able to get from A to B and is no longer confined to a wheelchair. So much did she improve that Joan went to see her GP and advised him she felt guilty at taking delivery of the promised electronic wheelchair but he told her that as it was an illness that progressed she would inevitably need this. But Joan has high hopes that it is not for a while yet as she is again starting to enjoy life and though she does have very bad days, when the pain is so intense that movement is impossible, she finds these are far less frequent and life has again become worth living.
This is what Joan Bicknall had to say about the healing she received from Bill Parker: “I have been a member of the Spiritualist Church all my life and as a young woman, when I lived in the county of Kent, I met and worked with many healers. I can say with all honesty that in all my life I have never encountered anyone that was able to bring so much healing power as Bill. I have been telling all my friends about him and look forward to receiving more healing from him when he next visits his daughter-in-law in Scotland. He is a most remarkable, gentle, kind and gifted man”.
Whilst Bill Parker can not see all who would want to see him on a one to one basis, he is happy to offer what he terms Absent Healing. For this healing and indeed any healing Bill makes no charge. People can, if they wish, donate to the charity he supports, that is Water for Africa but he personally accepts no payment. You can contact Bill Parker direct by telephone on 01995 670124. Please call at a reasonable hour as these days Bill gets to bed just before midnight.
