The calling of an Angel
I, like many people, can see smatterings of truth in orthodox religion without actually needing to accept the whole package. Some religions, in my view, are perhaps more advanced and nearer to the truth than others. I can look at Christianity and see certain flaws in its belief system and in fact when I sit down and reflect on this religion that I was baptised into, it really does insult my intelligence to think that I am expected to believe such rubbish. I am just glad that I was not brought up as a Catholic, or I would have been even more insulted. But strangely enough there is one truth that is advocated by the Christian faith which I actually find believable but which is found by many other people to be a bit unbelieveable . This is the belief in the reality of the existence of angels.
All through the Bible there are
references to these celestial beings and most churches have at least one
picture or carving of an angel on show. In recent years many people have
spoken of experiencing
contact with these beings. On most
occasions this contact has happened when the person is going through a
traumatic or stressful time in their life. I have read many reports of
sightings of angels on the battlefields of France in the first World War
and also in the subsequent second World War.
In my view angels are not actually
a part of humanity but a separate species completely. I think there is
ample evidence that these winged, celestial beings do exist and what is
more is that they are able to reflect their form onto our naked eye. The
function of an angel is many faceted but I believe that one of their purposes
is to help and guide our human race into one day merging with their
own celestial kingdom. I also believe that one of the roles of an angel
to be incarnate in human form in exceptional circumstances. People who
have to endure immensely difficult lives, can, I believe fall into this
category and I am certain that some children who live short and painful
lives are such beings. Their birth, short life, and death being
a profound lesson and opportunity
for Spiritual growth for the family, and those people closely connected
with the child. In these situations you usually find that great deal of
love and warmth emanates from these children. Downs Syndrome and brain
damaged children, are just some if the children that in my view fall into
this category. I think their purpose is simply to be born to bring peace,
harmony, and progression into this life and after they have done their
deed for humanity to fade away into the realms beyond.
I often come across very sad accounts
of ill fated children in my work and I do try to put across my viewpoint
with the hope that parents and involved people might be able see the big
picture. I must say
that I have had some measure of
success with this aim in mind, but I also wish for it to be recognised
that most people that I have spoken to on this subject have already sensed
that there was something
extraordinarily special about the
child they lost.
So what then of the term "Guardian
Angel," is this just one of humanities comfort zones, a religious crutch
for the needy to lean on, or a lucky charm that will always put things
right? I think not. Angels
are an important part of the great
scheme of things, here to teach the laws of the great masters and the great
consciousness that we commonly call, "God." Angels are in my own view a
positive energy,
constantly and industriously working
for the forces of good. They are definitely not called Gabrielle and most
certainly do not sit on a cloud, eternally plucking the strings of a harp.
People often ask me during sittings
as to whether they actually have a guardian angel and just as often they
ask about guides. I think that there is great confusion about these two
subjects. In my view, guides
and angels are completely different.
Angels are celestial beings and do not normally incarnate in human form,
whereas guides are evolved beings who have lived many lifetimes on Earth
and even on other planets. They will walk the pathway of your life with
you trying to help and guide you in making decisions. Guides are not relatives
but they may have known you in previous lifetimes.
Yes it is true that the mere thought
of these angelic beings brings to my mind a great peace, a knowing that
somewhere amidst this life of chaos exists something so good and so pure,
that its light burns into
you and leaves behind a message
branded onto your very soul, that all is well and that we are working towards
the completion of the great Divine plan.
I would like to thank Mr. Harold
Hyatt who very kindly sent me a booklet of his fine spiritual poetry. Here
is a small sample of his work. If anyone is interested the booklet is called
"Poetry in a Nutshell."
It costs £3 including post
and packaging from, Harold Hyatt, 8, Kestrel Grove, Leeds 17 8XH.
