Visions of Faith and Hope

About sixty years ago a soul said, “Ok, God, I’m ready and I think that I’ve found the right man and woman who will make the best parents for me and provide the family where I can keep growing and continue to develop.  I know I didn’t finish my work on earth the last time and there is a lot still to learn, so, I’m ready to go back now.  I also know that I won’t remember any of this conversation with You, so please take care of me and guide me till my work is done and You call me home.”

God smiled and blessed His child and on June 20th a beautiful baby boy was born.  He was the oldest child, followed by one brother and two sisters. It was not an ordinary family, as his dad was a man who was in tune with nature and highly gifted as an engineer.  Joe was very close to his father, and siblings.  He learned family loyalty and all of the children grew up loving the outdoors.  His mother wanted the children to have music lessons, so Joe took ballroom dancing lessons, was in the school band and enjoyed singing.

Joe developed great physical strength, and many lessons in life that shaped his character.  Sometimes the lessons were bewildering and seemed insurmountable.  During the searing times, he kept going.  There was no other choice open to him.  He was becoming a man of faith who had a vision.  At times he lost sight of the vision, yet the faith and hope never completely vanished.  It remained as a lodestar to guide his way home.

Like most people, life was sometimes confusing to Joe. He asked the same timeless questions, “What is my life’s purpose,” and “How do I define who I am.” He married, had children, and learned about love, disappointment and betrayal.  The compass wavered. It did not break. What was it that he was experiencing?  What were the lessons that he was creating?

Through Joe’s experiences, it may be easier to see your life, your quest, and once again rekindle the faith that may have been lost.  What is the purpose of your life journey?  Are you conscious that it is you who are the writer, actor and producer of your life script?  When you see a movie and realize after twenty minutes have passed that you don’t like it, do you walk out or stay till the end, hoping, that it will get better?  Does your life provide you with more gratification than frustration, or is it the reverse?  Do you learn from your lessons or hope you will be rescued?

Spiritualists understand that The Law of Thinking presumes that all thoughts are at the core of how an individual chooses to live.  Thoughts, feelings and action create the reality of each individual.  Thinking includes the Law of Contradiction that enables you to make a decision while considering the alternatives, remembering, ‘if I always do what I always did, I’ll always get what I’ve always got.”

Joe’s vision that necessitated faith and hope was the same as most people.  He wanted a loving relationship, where he would be accepted, acknowledged and appreciated.  Joe’s parents lived to a ripe old age and he did not want to be alone except for his work and dog.  His existence included life and death conflicts that were excruciating and appeared directionless at times.  Yet, he was determined to live, and moved from the state of ‘what is to what ought to be.’  He took conscious charge of his recovery and left his lower nature for the higher vibration.

He examined his attitudes and realized that they were the reflection of his thoughts. Joe thought about his bonds of love and friendship and their extension to his family and friends.  Sadly, he realized that there was no one to love and explore life with him.  So, he opened his heart and soul to the universe and visualized what his love would look like, and he drew her to him.

Eventually they met and realized that it was their vision of faith and hope that had brought them together.  Life has regained a new zest, as Joe learned about the Natural Law of Thinking. And, God smiled and blessed His children.
