THE DOG THAT WAS SAVED

In the year 1995 John and Annie Dale of 'The Haven' Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire, heard that  the owners of a wonderful dog called 'Roger' were going to move to France to open a Cafe. When they heard that it was not the couple's intention to take Roger with them they asked what then did they intend doing with the dog?

It came as a terrible shock to both John and Annie to learn that Roger's owners were going to have their pet put to sleep at the local veterinary surgeon's clinic. Putting a healthy pet to sleep seemed so wrong to them that they decided to ask Roger's owners if they could adopt the dog. The prospective cafe proprietors readily agreed and so Roger became a member of the Dale family.

Within days of joining John and Annie, Roger the dog had really made himself at home. He was soon wagging his tail and jumping for joy whenever he saw John or Annie and they found him to be a fine and trusty friend.

JOHN DALE & ROGER

John and Annie are so pleased they were able to bring Roger into their lives. He is such a clever dog that John says at times he seems almost human. They can not bear to think about what almost happened to this friendly dog had they not saved him. Now Roger is as a happy as the day is long and has the best tail wag in town.

Mankind's Best Friend is a dog? YES!
And, if the whole world tutns against its master
There is no one who offers unquestioning loyalty
And such unwavering love, plus a wet warm nose
And a wag of a tail

Yes, money may buy a good dog
                                       But it can never buy
                                       The wag of it's tail.
